This FAQ guide describes the basic functions to reboot and perform troubleshooting on your Delfi Mira terminal.

  1. How do I perform a warm boot?
    To perform a warm boot, please hold ESC + press power. The terminal will now reboot and then the warm boot is done.
  2. How do I perform a cold boot?
    To perform a cold boot, please hold ESC + ENT + press power. The terminal will now reboot and then the cold boot is done.

  3. How do I perform a clean boot?
    To perform a clean boot, please hold ESC + ENT + press power. The display now turns off. Please hold ESC + 0 (zero) until the terminal writes CLEAN BOOT, now press 1 for Yes. The terminal will now reboot and is set to factory default. NOTE! All programs + settings will be deleted!
  4. My terminal doesn’t read the barcodes, what can I do?
    If the terminal doesn’t read barcodes very well – or doesn’t read barcodes at all – please try to perform a cold boot. A red laser shield is placed on the front of the Memor. This shield has to be clean and without any scratches in order to perform the best scanning experience. Clean the laser shield using normal window-cleaning. If a scratch is too deep, the laser shield has to be replaced. In order to replace the laser shield, please return theDelfi Mira terminal to Delfi’s repair center using the RMA-form found on Delfi’s website;

  5. The keyboard doesn’t react, what can I do?
    If the terminal doesn’t react on any key press, please try to perform a cold boot. If the keyboard is still locked, please take the battery out by taking the battery-cover off on the back of the terminal. Leave the terminal without battery for a couple of minutes before inserting the battery again. The terminal will now automatically perform a cold boot. If the terminal still doesn’t react on any press from the keyboard, please return the Delfi Mira terminal to Delfi’s repair center using the RMA-form found on Delfi’s website;
